Journey: Chiang Mai Thailand
Half day, cruises take a boat trip to the city wiang kum comb
Wiang Kum Kam has not existed for a long time. Built by King Mengrai as the capital of the Lannarijk, the city was destroyed by flooding of the Ping River after 15 years. The city then sunk into a winter sleep that lasts 700 years. The city was forgotten and thought it was a legend and the city never really existed. It was only in 1984 that it was all real and more and more evidence of the existence of Wiang Kum Kam came up during excavations.

From the boat we continue by horse and carriage! In an open car we drive to the museum where you will have the opportunity to find out more about history. Outside, your coach is ready to drive you further through a beautiful landscape of orchards and villages, where modern Thai life is playing.
On the way we see the remains of 6 historic sites from the Lanna era and get out at the boat. Before returning, local fruit juices are served. On arrival, you can enjoy a delicious meal in the Kitamon restaurant with a choice of Japanese, Thai and seafood specialties (not included.) Then you will be taken to your hotel, looking back on a fascinating and laid back day.
